Not every pregnancy is easy, and especially when you have to go through the journey by yourself. Staying mentally and emotionally healthy during pregnancy is just as important as staying fit physically.

This application is an initiative of a non-government organisation, guiding young mothers through their pregnancy journey. This app is an assistant from when they start their pregnancy up to taking care of a newborn until they are two years old.

As the app targets young mothers, especially single mothers, the client wanted the application to look delightful and deliver essential tips and information in a non-stressful manner.

This app gives users day-to-day pregnancy updates, meditation practices, yoga classes and even visualization tools powered by augmented reality (AR) to see what your baby looks like in their womb.

Having a specific target demographic of gender and age, I decided to pick colours through a survey. Through the client's help, I distributed a survey with multiple colour options within a selected audience. The results were pretty evident for me to pick three primary colours. I created a set of companion colours to work with the primary colours to give AAA rating in contrast.

I created the app design using adorable illustrations of people and objects to make using the app a pleasure. As we expect a user to use the application for at least two years, various interactions and animations were used to maintain the delightfulness throughout the application.

Apart from making it delightful and exciting, given the nature of the context and the target audience, I always focused on creating a user experience where the user doesn't feel stressed or intimidated. Calming colours and smooth animations help the users to interact with the application soothingly.
